Some realisations by our students
As introduced in our section about the educational objectives of the chair, the teaching of charged particle optics within the physics department already began at the end of the COVID crisis, with the first promotion being the one of 2020-2021. It was not until September 2025 that all the partners (INSA, TESCAN and CNRS) agreed to promote this training programme through the creation of this academic chair around the name of Peter Hawkes (see the presentation of Peter).
Each year, students carry out an optics project and present it to other students, professors and industry professionals (see the page about educational objectives). This presentation is typically done around a poster. We have included the posters from different years below, starting from the promotion 2022-2023, and we will add to this section each year the new poster highlighting the ingenious achievements of our students.
